Here I am...

Okay, I don't know what kind of job I'll do keeping up with this blog (since most of my online 'social' time is spent on MySpace and FaceBook), but I wanted to get this site up and running to post things important, fun, funny, exciting, and/or interesting. Basically, things that give me a culinary boner. Geez, did I just use the word 'boner'?? Don't know where that came from...I don't think I've used that word since Brooke Shields was a teenage pin-up.

Anyway, here's my first entry. Thanks for checking it out and when you're through, be sure to surf over to check out my dear friend Christie's Cheesecakes! Her address is http://ccarter25.blogspot.com .

Tell her Rhino sent you over for some amazing Cheesecakes, Tartlets, and Cupcakes!

Carpe 'Que,
Jim Rhino

  1. Hey Jim~
Thanks for the bit about the cheesecakes! Unfortunately, this is the slow season and sales stop till about October...

I know FB & MS are great places to chat with friends and post those wonderful blackmale photos from high school, but this is in it's onl way fun too. You should really post your summer BBQ schedule! Put it on all your printed stuff, and update it more than once every 6 months :)

As you can see, I have changed the content of my blog to my hobby, paper crafting. I'll add more stuff with the cheesecakes when the season is stronger. Key is getting people there.

Got your message, I know what ya mean. I have been mia for a bit now, but it is summer. So your BBQ is the meal for one of the nights at Mike's 20 year! That's great! I dont know yet if we are going to come as we are supposed to be on vacation. I will def keep you posted!

I was in town last week. Since my mom passed November 2 years ago, I have been super busy with my dad. He was just starting a total house remodle just months before my mom passed. So I have been helping with everything to stocking his cubords to structural, electrical, millwork, carpet, paint and furniture. When I'm in town, I'm pretty much committed to helping him. We are nearly done and I will be in town more as we LOVE to go to Centralia lake and have a boat too. So hopefull after vacation we can get a time set to meet up! I would LOVE for you to try my Buffalo Cheesecake! I'm willing to bet $$ that you too will love it!

Well, I better get going. Enjoying a nice Mojoto or what ever they are called!
Hope to chat with you soon!

  2. LOL...even after you told me you wrote a book here, I am so 'new' to this Blog thing that it took me 10 minutes to figure out where to read your book. I'm here now!

Yeah, I'm scheduled to do the class reunion, but so far they have only ordered hamburgers, hot dogs, and a couple of side dishes...not barbeque. My competition team mate will be there to set-up, and begin serving around 11am...I'm not going to be able to get there until around 12:30p.

Outside of MS and FB, I only have about 6 other sites That I try to keep up on...TOO many, but such is the life.

I am looking forward to the Buffalo Cheesecake...hopefully someday, before I die, I'll get to try it. :)

Thanks for enlightening me on the 'Blog' thing...I'll try to do better, but no immediate guarantees.

    Carpe 'Que,
    Jim
